This is my take on the boss fight render challenge from pwnisher. I created the model and rig for the robot in Maya as a diorama project a couple of years ago. Revisiting it, I updated the rig to include easier animation controls, as it was previously created for posing. I animated the robot inside of Maya, and exported the scene into Unreal where it was textured. I then rendered the scene out in Unreal with AOVs, and brought it into Nuke for a quick comp.
